I always though WinPatrol was some sort of HIPS, it's actually a system monitor. :)

Sure I did report that behaviour but I'm also curious do others notice this too.

How many of you use Winpatrol Plus as opposed to the free version?

Just curious what your thoughts are as regards the added value and capabilities?

I actually have 2 licenses to WinPatrol (even though 1 license is good for whatever amount of computers that you have); not so much that I use any of the Plus features- more so that I want to support Bill in WP's development (and I can afford it).

I actually agree with your point of view and have done the same myself in similar fashion with other software.

Still trying to get a handle on the experience of users with the Plus version...

Yikes! I guess I sidestepped the question. For me, other than testing my CIS versus malware from MDL I haven't actually run across any malware in a very long time. So any of the Plus features really haven't been important to me. The free version is certainly full of features already.

Issue has been found with WP 2011 and XP SP3. The Kill Task function is not operating. -http://forum.securitycadets.com/index.php?showtopic=16909&view=findpost&p=53912-
