    Hi,

I installed an update from Microsoft for XP, it was actually something for checking the genuinity of XP. Somehow its showing , that its not licensed XP, but I know it is.

Is there a way to remove this update fromt he computer.

Its my mistake .. actually Ronjor posted about this even before Microsft was sending these update.

i am not able to uninstall this update.

Its there in my taskbar.. any suggestio to remove it.

Did you buy your XP after market or did it come installed on your computer when you bought it. if you bought it after market I would go back where I bought it and tell them what is going on and demand a legal copy of XP.

It doesn't automatically mean the user is unlicensed (though that's what the message says). I think it is ethical to attempt to fix the display message or remove the update if you are a licensed XP user.
