Windows XP registry hack will not protect your PC against all threats

    A very deceptive statement. Their updates won't protect you from all threats on any version of Windows.

    XP is architecturally obsolete.

    No, seriously. The progress made in computing power and programming techniques over the past decade is astonishing. The fact that an arms race has nullified some of the benefits does not in any way imply that things are at a standstill, or that you're as well off with an obsolete OS.

    ... That said I really love how they're advising everyone to upgrade to Windows 8.1. It's got nice stuff under the hood, but most of the interface changes are just needless, resource-hogging, usability-bungling eyecandy.

    Have to wonder what they're thinking. Have to wonder what everyone on the UI side of things is thinking these days, actually. Where did the 3D desktop craze come from?!
