Windows XP Pro student edition?

    Anyone know where I can buy this for cheap? Academic version of course, since I am a student.

    You can always try to buy an OEM version somewhere which will be a lower price but have little support, or ask at your school if they can provide you with a copy of Windows XP at low or no cost. But I am not aware of a specific student edition, just XP Home and XP Professional. You also can try alternative operating systems if your budget becomes very tight.

    I know that they have a student edition of microsoft office, maybe that is what you are asking for?

    You might check at wal-mart they do carry the student edition. all you need besides the cost of it is a student ID.
