    Hi

    I am installing windows Xp and i am having a problem

    My problem is when i format the hard drive and windows starts copying files in windows setup (blue screen) it doesn't copy and i have to skip loads of files.

    I have changed the hard drive, dvd rom, ide cable, power supply.

    what could be the prblem?

    skips to many files so windows crashes at the end as there are not enough files copied?

    Rule out possibilities discussed here - http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/30558/

    ========================

    "It sounds like your original cd was scratched, dirty, or the data was corrupted, and the copy operation onto another cd didn't help (*In other word's, slow-burn a copy of the original). I would suggest that you try different branded media, or a different cdrw/dvd-rw drive.

    You can copy the cd to an enternal drive - and run winnt.exe from a dos promtp - from within the i386 folder."
