Wow windows vista, whoopty dew. It wouldn't even detect a 3com ethernet card, it didn't even have it to manually install from it's driver database. The windows explorer layout has some pretty colors while it looks like something that should have come out before XP. I have 512mb of ram, 128 graphics card, 2.8Ghz on the CPU and it still moved slower than xp, alot slower. Maybe it's because it's still in beta but I wouldn't get too excited unless it's going to be totally different than this garbage I'm checking out. This just reinforces my belief that linux will put microsoft out of their misery sooner than everyone thinks, it's just a matter of making software installation and understanding the file system a little easier for people. I know some people will disagree but I just had more confidence with microsoft's new vista and I am seeing alot less than what I expected. It's like they tried to cover up or make up for all these things that aren't any better in the OS by having some better graphics, it doesn't full me though. It seems as though the coding involved could have been done by someone that was in some kind of a hurry or is just not into their job like the people who design linux flavors. I can be more specific if someone would like to know more or has specific questions about the OS or would just like to criticize my critique but for right now I think I'll go dive into something more constructive like some linux documentation as I am not an expert in this area and do not want to end up looking like the programmers who designed this junk called vista.
