Windows Security Center Question

The last few times I have formatted I get everything setup, and then I run all my antispyware and antivirus tools but security centre does not start. This is always after a fully patched SP2 system. I always get error 5, a denied error.

Is there anything else I can try except starting the services.msc which gets me to the error 5 in the 1st place?

I looked through alot of those and honestly, this security center in vista is a pain. Cannot reformat this time as I have linux on half the drive so I guess as long as my pc has no malware/viruses I guess the "security center" is just an annoynance.

Maybe if I bought Windows 7 this will be fixed in the future with the transfer wizard

Just a pain to get everything up to date and then every time have security center just go south.
