Windows Media Player 11 problem

    I have noticed that the Task Manager processes tab lists wmplayer.exe even after I have closed Windows Media Player (it takes about 10 seconds for the wmplayer.exe to eventually go away after closing WMP).

    Because of this, I have to wait that 10 seconds each time I close WMP and want to restart it. Haven't had any problems until the last few days. I've recently uninstalled OA and installed COMODO.

    Anyone got any idea what's going on please? Thanks for any advice.

    EDIT: I rolled back to WMP 10 and this issue was resolved. I'd like to continue using WMP 11 though.

    if you only want to listen to your music then why not launch the cut down version.

    Just go to Start>Run and type mplayer2

    The basic player will launch so you can play your favorite tracks without using many resource's
