windows live messenger to open mails in opera

    My kids love to use the windows live messenger.The default browser is Opera,but whenever they click on the mail tab or on the spaces tab in win live messenger;it opens in Internet explorer.Is there a way to change this.I want opera to be opened when they click on the mail or spaces tab.
