    Hi,

I've just started using Backup & Recovery Free 2011.

I created a backup of my laptop ( win7 fully patched ) then ran a restore from the boot CD and after a restart I get the message that windows needs to be activated as this is an invalid copy!!

I then tried it on my desktop ( Win Vista fully patched ) ran a restore from the boot CD and received the same message about it being an invalid copy!!

Surely this should not be the case as there have been no hardware changes just the disk reimaged??

I have a GIGABYTE motherboard in my desktop that has 'Express recovery' with it and have never had to 'activate' windows after a restore, but wanted to use this so that I have a backup on an external drive.

    Can anyone help/advise??

    Cheers in advance :)
