Yeah, but why even bother? I mean, isn't everyone running Windows 8 or above on a traditional desktop/laptop using Classic Shell, Start8, StartIsBack, or something similar?

I had Classic Shell installed within 5 minutes after I first fired up my Windows 8 machine and thus never really had to deal with a missing start menu.

I´m not. Uninstalled Classic Shell after I installed 8.1. The Start button is even better after the Update.

Agreed. But Windows 8 will still feel like a weird hybrid wanna be between 10 inch tablet and 22 inch desktop. Windows 9 will probably be less of a mess.

Microsoft's timing is right on the money..... That is almost (just a few months appart) the same time that Windows 9 is to be released. It will be hard to decide as far as which version to go with. I'm sure more blunders will follow....
