Windows 8 Fast Startup preserves transient malware?

    Fast startup sucks. It causes issues with USB devices, sound devices that do not support it properly, and I have even seen antivirus programs that do not properly restart when it is enabled. Turning it off is one of the first things I do on a Windows 8 installation. All of that, plus it does not start up any faster. At least in my experience. :thumbd:
