Windows 7 upgrade causing troubles with personal firewall

    Hello all,

    I use Eset Smart Security 4.0. I've upgraded to Windows 7 and didn't read about uninstalling Eset before, so got the personal firewall failed to initialize, which seems like a common occurrence. I've followed all instructions about unistalling the software and reinstalling but anytime I reinstall i just get the same message. Can anyone offer some help as it would be much appreciated seeing as I either can't access the internet or access the internet with no antivirus, neither of which I particularly want. Thanks

    Hello Stuie06,

    Please follow the procedures from the following Knowledgebase article and use the uninstall tool to remove your ESET security product from your machine:

    After fully removing your ESET security product, reinstall and let me know if the issue persists.
