Hey there, I might soon make the move from Windows 7 x64 Prof. to Windows 8 x64 Prof. and wonder if I could change something in my security setup.

    Right now:
    UAC - Max
    MBAM Real Time
    Comodo Internet Security 6 (AV,FW,HIPS,BB).

    So what I want is:
A lightweight firewall for outgoing/ingoing stuff (preferable only showing a pop up on "unknown" files/programs).
    Some real-time HIPS/BB which auto-sandboxes
I think I don't really need an AV since I already have MBAM.
I guess I will also use SRP.

Should I go with Comodo on Windows 8 again? Or maybe try smth else? Like Avira ? Or maybe just install Comodo Firewall and use some other online-scanner+sandboxer ?

I would prefer a free setup or "once in a lifetime payment".

    Any advice? :)

Since it suits your requirements, keep it as it is.

MBAM is not an AV, you probably meant: "since I already have CIS6+MBAM"? For the rest keep it as it is + turn ON file history in WIN8 (with an external backup drive).

Well I actually thought I could get smth more lightweight. I feel like if everything "unknown" gets sandboxed automatically, nothing can happen. And then I just fire up MBAM/HitmanPro/... to clean the system.

Anyway, I also wasn't sure if CIS + MBAM works fine and bug free on WIN8.

@edit: wow file history is awesome. especially in combination with my 3TB HTPC-Server :)

Are there any other awesome features in Win8 ?

Yeap, unless you use a separate imaging tool, file history in WIN8 is a good enough alternative to keep your file safe and to have a rather granular control on them.
On top you can create a full system image for major disasters relief.

I don't really see the point of using CIS instead of Comodo Firewall on a system with MB real-time already installed. Comodo Firewall has all of the components of CIS with the exception of the real time AV (which you reallly don't need). It still has on access cloud AV scan without any sytem impact.
