All the pcs i have had came with OEM versions of operating system and ive never purchased or used an "original" OS.However with windows 7 due to be released here in the uk in october i am tempted to purchase the OS at a pre release price. My question is though ,will i be able to install it on my laptop and desktop pcs or is it one license for one pc?.If it is one license per machine how would i decativate it to put on anther machine if i purchased a new pc in the future?

ellison64, while details are scant on Windows 7, perhaps you should use the Upgrade Advisor to see if your PC can handle Win7. That site might answer other questions as well.
