Is it normal for all three to be "electrically" on, or only two @ a time? Which system are you up on now? Where's Win7, where's XP?

I normally use two at a time, but three is also possible.

At the moment both 7 and XP are on the SATA one, but as I've said I tried all the combinations.

So copies are being sent from SATA to IDE - your data partition? Everyone's formatted NTFS or no, there a FAT guy in the mix?

*PS - I'll be back a little later on ....

All's NTFS formatted. No matter from what drive or patition I copy to the other it gets corrupted.

Also Hashcheck shows a lot of mismatches right after it creates sfv file, same for utorrent force re-check.

PS: Hashcheck' sfv is not compatible with Teracopy??

Let me leave you with this for the moment - lubrication for the gears. You know how everyone's connected. Back later ....

Before going any further I have a few extra questions to ask .... this box of yours, she come setup with all these drives or you add'em meaning "yes, I've had the tower open and made the physical connections myself."

Do you own or have immediate access to a digital camera?

Have you ever heard the term "cable select?"

Like you said I too believe it's a configuration issue - though not software.

    Re: Teracopy & Windows 7

I built this PC myself, and the IDE drives are set to cable select, I use one at the moment (and yes, I attached it to the black connector).

The thing is this problem only happens with 7, I skipped Vista so I wouldn't know about that, but this same configuration worked for years with XP.

Yes I do have access to a digital camera.

Since I lack the hands-on, you think one of those controller cables flew south?

I'm not sure what you'd need to do in order to test'em without more reading.

I guess swapping's not an option huh?

PS - If someone's got a line throw it in, we're game.

Let's @ least get a little idea about this hardware of yours. I've come across chipsets suffering DMA transfer corruption.

Grab the English standalone on your left and unzip to the desktop - http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html

Open > goto tools > options > clk report. For software and network > clk none. Open hardware > clk none, then tick:

mobo, bios, cpu info, pci, system slots, storage devices, logical disks and ports.

Clk SAVE > goto file > EXIT. She's gotta be shutdown once before settings stick.

Open'er again - now goto file and create an html report named: sade_hw_report.html

*This if there's personally identifiable info.
Open it and goto view > source or page source > goto edit > find > load serial number.

Here back-pedal the numbers, swap in a few x's and save.

Since W's doesn't allow this filetype, upload here: http://www.datafilehost.com/

Save both urls and send me the dwnld link via pm.

*I've attached a conversion. Post me if it's garbled.

    lol yeah :D

It was DRAM Voltage, found out P5Q series tend to undervolt the memory.

    Fixed now :D
