My system is: Windows 11 Home The M/B: PRIME H410M-A. The CPU: Intel I5 10400 Every time Windows 11 performs an update on my PC, the process stops during execution. I get a message ("Something didn't go as planned. No need to worry- undoing changes....." ) that the update process cannot complete and that the computer will return to its previous state. The problem is that when Windows returns, I always have a “bug”. Usually the mouse and keyboard are inactive. All efforts to activate them are ineffective. I am forced to restore a backup that I made about a week ago. That is why I am trying to postpone the update as much as possible. Yesterday, after a PC restore, the "Pause Update" is "gray" and the "Schedule Update" gives me only a week. 1. What is the problem I have with Windows 11? I should mention that I had Windows 10 about 6 months ago that was automatically updated to W11 through the updates. Since then I have problems after every update. 2. Few days following the installation of the “first” W11, I had a small annoying bug (after an update of the new installed Windows 11). I reinstalled Windows 11 using RUFUS usb stick, (with the option “to keep all my files”), and from that time, the issue has become, the mouse and keyboard inactive following every failed update process. any recommendations?
@samy To start with have you run in an elevated cmd prompt Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Followed by a System File Check (SFC)
Also you may run the Windows Update Troubleshooter https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...eshooter-19bc41ca-ad72-ae67-af3c-89ce169755dd
Hi 1. Ran the "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth". "The operation completed successfully". 2. "System File Check (SFC)" . I got "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." 3. WU Troubleshooter - Got the following: "The Windows update diagnostic failed to run" 4. During the various attempts to solve this issue, I remarked (some days ago) an "error" adjacent to the update file. I attached herein a picture This notice appeared only once, and never reappeared. 5. I found out an interesting link : (How to Fix a Windows Update Error 0x800f0922) https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to-fix-a-windows-update-error-0x800f0922/ What is your opinion on the subject: - If the message only appeared once, is it still relevant? - Is it recommended to clear the Windows update cache?
Hi one hour ago I got a new error adjacent to a new update. attached picture. following research on the web, I found this link: (Update Problems 24H2) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/a...blems-24h2?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers saying that there is a bug that Microsoft is still working in order to solve . ??
If that is right then at least you know it is not your fault it's their fault. I read through the pages in the link and I hope that the post that says it won't be fixed until 25H2 is wrong. If you ever decide to give a clean install a try, make sure you delete all existing partitions as sometimes info gets left on them when Windows does it.
