Next Month, Windows 10's Start Menu will highlight the advantages of Microsoft Accounts to users.
I would advise Win 10 users to have a read as it explains quite a lot about what will happen etc.

Thank you for the warning, stapp.

I have contended with this already on Windows 11 and have partially beaten back this kind of adware. I have every confidence there will be a workaround for Windows 10 also.

    i dont see any warning.

    for me (windows pro)
    - i dont use the original menu
    - i am not forced to use a ms account

and this will be the current state inclusive windows xxx, because ms cannot force enterprise environments to an account.

At the end of the article, it shows how to disable the notifications on Windows 10 and 11.

It's almost like Microsoft wants to push Windows 10 users onto Linux sooner rather than later :(

Thanks roger_m. All this time I've been gallivanting around, deleting this in the registry and making that rule in the firewall. Every little bit helps, I tell you. :)

I assume the options will come with the notifications as I don't see the option yet.

I don't need any more reasons to move to Linux, I just need time!
