Bitdefender free or Avira are working great on Window 10.

I tried BD free on Win10 last night and it worked but boy was it 's detection rate awful. It may have something to do with it being BD 2013.

I can't find anything to beat Qihoo 360 6.8 (the Win10 version, look for the download button for it specifically); it's been working famously.

    Avast! beta works too
    herdProtect works
    MBAM works (on-demand and real-time)

Comodo doesn't (but it doesn't work in a lot of instances, not sure if Win10 is specifically causing problems)
SecureAPlus prevented my build updates from working
Crystal Security works but not sure I can recommend it since it will constantly prompt you
    Immunet3 worked I think...didn't detect much
    Avira does not
Ashampoo AV 2015 does but it's not free and it's detection rates weren't what I expected having BD and Emsisoft engines

In a week, win 10 will come out and I was wondering if anyone knows of any av and IS solutions (free) that would work on win 10 64bit well?

Are AVAST and COMODO and shadow defender win 10 ready?

I have avast, comodo, malwarebyte, hitman pro, beedoctor malwarebyte anti-exploit and shadow defender right now on win 8.1 64bit and was wondering if these are win 10 ready or work well on win 10 64bit?

    Thanks for your advice people.

There's a planned release of Comodo before the end oh this month that provides Win10 compatibility.

what about shadow defender, beedoctor, malwarebyte anti-expoloit and antimalware. How about hitman pro, iobit uninstaller and driver booster, start menu x, ccleaner, qbtorrent, glary utility, synei utility, Burnaware, klite, 7-zip.

If anyone can check and tell me if any of these are not win 10 compatible.

BeeDoctor does not state which Windows versions it supports, but I think it should work. I can't remember if I tried it under Windows 10 or not.

qBittorent does not officially support Windows 10, but I'm sure it will work fine.

Glary and Senei don't list Windows 10 compatability just yet. They should be fine to use as long as you don't use the registry cleaners, in case they have issues with Windows 10.

Driver Booster has supported Windows 10 since April.

All the others also support Windows 10.

    I hope this helps.

I just use built-in Windows Defender/SmartScreen and MBAM Premium. No need for third-party antivirus, especially with browser sandboxing, exploit patching, VirusTotal, etc. these days as long as you're not click-happy.

I hope secureaplus and voodooshield and shadow defender would work on windows 10. These are the only one needed to be safe and infection free.

Here's some info about WIN 10 and Windows Defender -

"..Windows Defender has become more powerful in Windows 10. It can be used as a dependable anti-malware in Windows 10 and most home users may not find it necessary to install a 3rd-party antivirus software on the computer. However, Microsoft has changed couple of things in Windows Defender. Now, the Settings panel of Windows Defender has been migrated to the new Settings app of Windows 10. That is why you may find it difficult the first time to configure Windows Defender in Windows 10.."

According to Microsoft you won't need one! o_O What will all us Wilders member's now do? :'(

Microsoft has made some bold promises about improvements to security in Windows 10. Chris Hallum, a senior product marketing manager for Microsoft, said in an interview that because of all the security enhancements in Windows 10, consumers and businesses won’t have to install additional security software to protect their machines. “We include a full-fledged antivirus solution in Windows,” he said.

They must have really improved windows defender since I used it. it didn't detect anything or stop PUP's. I must say I do like Win 8.1 but now I have to relearn how to use the start menu again LOL

AND I wonder how many users are going to follow the advice of not installing 3rd party security software?

This reminds me of a movie I recently watched about a billionaire that gave away a free chip for phones and in the end it was made to drive them crazy. Remember that one?
