    hi folks
i recently installed windows 10 from scratch.when i start to personalize the os, at some point, start menu reverts back to its previous state and the changes i make don't get applied as if shadow defender or deep freeze were in use.i'm suspecting of this update "2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4016871)".i installed the os from scratch several times but it ended up the same.
what could be the culprit here guys?

    so basically :

    1- create a second account
    2- make it admin account
3- login to the newly created account
    4- delete the original account

apparently it's a bug found in the creators update.but it seems it affects not the home edition but the pro edition.go figure

It affects both. I found this bug after installing Win10 from the leaked ISO of CU before it was officially released.
Maybe in the meantime it was fixed for the home version but not the Pro one.

After doing the windows updates, activating my machine, and a few reboots, the Start menu settings in personalization now stick. It fixes it self :D

i downloaded windows 10 iso again and this time the issue's gone.so a corrupted iso seems to be the culprit.
