You can use EasyBCD's graphical interface to edit the BCD entries. In this case, if the name is "Windows 8.1", you could change it to "Windows 10" (or to any other namer). This is just a cosmetic change. I don´t know if that would solve your problem, it´s just an idea. Before you try it, create a backup of the boot partition or be sure you know how to restore the previous BCD using EasyBCD, BCDEDIT or other tool. EasyBCD creates a backup of the BCD automatically.
