Under windows security it shows i have smartscreen for MS store apps turned on and also turned on for check apps and files. I thought smartscreen was part of MS Defender which i don't use and have turned off. Does my Kaspersky protect the MS store apps and check apps and files already.

No Edge has its own SmartScreen, like Google Chrome Safe Browsing and you can configure that independently of Windows Security in edge://settings/privacy under Services.

My taskbar notification icon for windows update status was turned off by default it looks like. I turned it on so it should appear when i have a update like it was on W7.

I have a strange request. Can anyone with a 2 in 1 laptop tell me if rotation lock is greyed out in standard laptop mode.It works fine in tent ot tablet mode then greys back out in laptop mode. Can't remember if this always has been the case or if I changed something or its a bug.Read up but all those fixes don't work.

Somehow don't understand what you're talking about. There is no such thing and has been there never.
Maybe you put a picture or something to explain your question.

Windows 10 action center has a rotation lock for 2 in 1 laptops. You can add or remove it in system settings-quick actions.Basically its greyed out when not in tablet or tent config. Is this right or wrong?

I think i read recently that the windows 10 password can't be removed anymore. Once you have one you will always have one.

What is up with these surprise MS Updates? They could at least keep some sort of conformity.

It's been talked about, I am certain of that.

When I delete Storage - Temporary Files - ca 30GB which counts as I have only 256 SSD - if anything goes wrong - Media Creation Tool or Macrium can save me from going to hell, right?

Deleting temporary files won't cause any problems.

True, but to also answer the question, yes Macrium would save you if something would go wrong. Always be prepared for the unexpected.
