Sorry, about that....but, if you right click on the image, then open in a new tab, it will come up trumps. ;)

Actually, this still isn't clear. You could also describe it as a behavior blocker that uses AI, but nobody knows how it exactly works. But good to see that the lifetime license is back, I'm sure it will boost sales.

So will WinAntiRansom be better than VS (free) in this sense? Or you need both to do a better job?

    Thanks

I think if you run it in legacy whitelisting mode it just asks you whenever you run a file that's not in their own database. Otherwise they're similar but use different determinations of what could be malicious. I'd pick one instead of running both tbh.

I also had problems when I first tried it, and had to restore an image, but that was some time ago. Planning to try it again on my secondary laptop.

Edit: But I already have VS there. Might be an overlap, but then WAR is meant to be specifically targeting ransomware (though some, including cruelsister would say it is primarily an anti-exe also).

Sent my email to Ruiware to get 30-day free trial, around 15 min. ago. Next I received two email with these subjects:
Never got my trial key as they offered.

If it detects "Malware-like action", it is protecting you. Even if it's the installer from WAR ;)

Hello, been a year that a I don't install this software, someone can tell me if WAR has auto-update of the program? And if I set 0 for the prompt it will block it or ir will be quarantined?

Is WAR a good alternative for AppGuard ?

As the "new" AG (5.x) only is subscription based and WAR has Lifetime License (I need 3) available at the moment.

    Thx

Edit: I run this in combination with EAM, NVTERP and Sandboxie.

u have more than enough protection with eam, nvterp and sandboxie.. eam and sandboxie is even enough or only sandboxie with windows defender. why so much overkill?.. thats pure paranoya.
