Win32:Trojan-gen. {VC}

    I have this Aavast! thing on my computer and
    it kept popping up this warning sign about
    Win32:Trojan-gen. {VC} and the file name which
    is I think caused it is <Snip> ~ Link to possible malware removed - Menorcaman ~
    because it said so on that warning sign and,
    I am not sure what to do, I tried to get rid of it
    but it doesnt work and now it saying to get off the internet.
    I am using Dell computer, dimension 8400
    Windows XP home edition
    And before all this happened my computer kept
    showing blue screeen so I had to format my computer,
    does this relate to this?
    Anyway, HELP!!

    Please do not post live links to malware as it's against our forum TOS.

    Best you inform Avast (virus[@]avast.com) and seek their advice. See this previous thread (in particular the attached text file in Post #7) titled E-mails for submitting samples to AV companies for more details.
