    Hello All,

I have a question or two that I hope this knowledgable group can help me with. Having performed a scan of my C drive, Nod32 has detected a file that it lables as a "Win32/Starter.A trojan" in the file C:\windows\autoloader.exe.

NOD32 says that it cannot clean the file so I therefore can rename and then delete. My only problem is that I can find no information on this trojan even from a search on Google. Does anyone know anything about this trojan or can point me in the direction for information on this critter. I am interested in the method of infection since NOD32 caught it during a manual scan but evidently did not detect at time of infection. I am running Win XP SP1 up to date with NOD sigs up to date with IMON running.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks

    Daniel M.

Well Daniel, I remember reading from somewhere that this trojan when opened plants some code on your hard drive that attracts constant pornographic pop-ups while online. Annoying but not destructive. I also got the same trojan, but was able to successfully delete it with DRWEB.
