I just upgraded to v3.0.672.0 from 2.7, and as you know, they urge you to disable any other security programs when doing so, and the only other thing I have is that windows defender, which never catches anything anyway. So I disabled it, installed the new program without a hitch, but now I am curious If I should enable windows defender again or ?? Is it even necessary with NOD32? Thanks in advance!

ESET software is compatiable with Microsoft's Windows Defender (WD) so it wasn't necessary to even disable it . Yes , you can enable it . IMO , they complement each other - I use WD on all my machines along with ESET NOD32 or ESET Smart Security

O.k. thanks! Yeah, wasn't sure about disabling it, so figured better safe than sorry.

Just to add, I switch back to Nod32 after using Avast pro, (when they started upgrading it started acting up) and I use SuperAntispyware pro and Spyware Terminator(both realtime) (WD disable) with Nod32 and they act good together, my system is running smooth with no slow downs.
