    Is it just me?

    Entering the site via:

    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php

Takes forever and a day to load for me. I could probably kill it using proxo but thought others affected would have prompted a change by now...

my work around has been to stop the page load after 15 sec or so

site entry slower - 10k member animated gif

this is not a rag on the achievement, but couldn't a simple still <1kb gif due just as well now that wilders is well past the 10k mark

just a thought, if I am the only one impacted ignore this post ;)

I knew the image was a bit large when I put it up, so thought to only keep it there a few days, which have passed now.

I was concerned but not overly because it only needs to load once per session as it should then remain cached in people's browsers. (Of course, you'd have to let it load fully for that to work and it assumes people have not disabled their browsing caches. On a 28.8 dialup connection it should load between 38 and 45 seconds.)

I'll probably remove it this weekend anyway.

Add my thanks too, much better loading now. :)

And sorry, Uguel, I really did like the way it looked (as we probably all did). But some of us are still on dial-ups, and not even necessarily 56's.
