I just hope they pay even more attention to extending range. WiFi is so constrained in coverage IMHO. That would be a landmark breakthrough even more promising.
Extending range can be done at the cost of increasing power consumption. Fundamental laws of physics. This would also increase noise, interference and congestion reducing performance and increasing latency and packet loss. Not a good idea. There are ways for greater Wifi coverage already by buying another devices. It may be Wi-Fi repeater or another AP configured for Wi-Fi roaming.
Don't buy any WiFi 6 router for now. According to Oct 2019 test done below there are still some features not enabled.
