What version of Word is it?

MS Word isn't sending your information anywhere, most likely it is grabbing information from the MS online database that word connects to to update it's help information and links.

Have you looked at the IP is trying to reach. First the previous poster is right, almost all the help functions now are out on the web. Also now many programs now communicate with themselves thru ports and thus may show up on a firewall.

I wouldn't worry. Inspite of all the hysteria sometimes expressed I seriously doubt Microsoft has any real interest in what is in our documents.
