    A thread in usenet at

    http://groups.google.com/group/alt....read/thread/d56ad40356e05a45/a8cfeb3c627f4837

labeled "NOD32 Privacy Risk" asked why ESET made it difficult/impossible to purchase it anonymously so ESET would not know the identity of the purchaser and didn't get answered.

Some one suggested posting the question here.

The stores are full of antivirus products that one can so buy anonymously but not nod32, with one exception noted in the thread.

If Norton can get by not knowing the names of all of its users, why can't ESET?

the concern is providing personal details - an alternative was the payment via snail mail - many resellers will sell via mail - I know we do.
