Why did you choose to use your avatar?

The reason for me choosing the avatar I have is:

The avatar is a picture of tales, a character from the well known cartoon series 'Sonic the Hedgehog'. When I was a young child, I had a hamster which I named tales, sadly he is dead now, however he is still remembered through my avatar.

So why did you choose to use your avatar?

Thank the lord that everyone doesn't put what they are fanatic about as their avatar, the world would be an even more perverse place

Good question! I associate avatar's with the names. Very sad BigC changed his. But all should have the right to do so. That is why I have been silent.

Now to the question: I thought it looked  . All forests need a hawk. It is a symbol of strength and security. I liked the color. Fire looking. It's mouth is parted as if to speak or call. Hawks can be found all over the world. They make wide circles while floating on the air. They have sharp eyes and can spot movement from very lofty heights. ;)

Didn't I come across you in a can of sardines at one time? From memory it was extra tasty that day... ;) :D

    :D :D :D

My nickname is related loosely to my surname, which comes from an ancient clan that had a well known figure, he used to "rob from the rich, and give to the poor" and was loyal to Robert the Bruce (true story, not an urban legend) Thus, I chose a Celtic cross which is fitting for something that comes from The Ancients.

    Cheers :D

    Guess!
No... it's not an esoteric reason like my more illustrious forum seniors have stated.

:D Throughout my 20+ years with the U.S.A.F., I was often called the Wildman. I always liked Yosemite Sam cartoons, and thought this was a good representation of my often referred to as warped personality.

    Thanks

Your avatar is your name. Number (No) 13 is believed to be an unlucky number so no one uses it as there alias. Very little chance of 2 people using the same alias.

I don't use one here, alas. "Craftec" over at the avast forums designed for me the one I use there, but it lost too much in size-reduction here (they allow something like 100x100 there).

It's an elderly "guru" sitting alone on a mountain top -- I'd originally asked him to do sort of a Mickey Mouse wannabe-guru parody, essentially moving Mickey's "Sorcerer's Apprentice" to a mountain top (ideally in front of a cave), but he didn't understand what I meant. But I happily settled for the "straight" version he came up with.
