OMG! Krebs certainly deserves many kudos for this piece. Coinhive's shenanigans reminds the contortions and convulsions a FBI investigator would employ in tracing a major crime syndicate money laundering operation.
So its wrong for a website to mine crypto currency while you visit it, but its ok if they stuff your browser full of ads and track your activity. hmmm.
Crazy but fascinating article. Brings back memories of some of Windows 98 power-drainer/bandwidth jackers. These days, similars put much effort into siphoning everything out of countless machines they can muster for all sorts of purposes.

To me there is a huge difference between trying to foist ads on me vs doing some thing that ties up my CPU. Those folks who are mad at Brian are at best very misguided.
As I understand they are not condoning Coinhive and mining on websites. They protest against Krebs connecting their community and mods with Coinhive - they say they have nothing to do with that.
