I noticed that my default box's Virtualization Scheme is set to a default of "Version 1." I recently created a new standard box to test some settings, and it defaults to "Version 2." I didn't change any of the default settings at first install, so I'm wondering if Version 1 is in-fact the default and the recommended setting I should be using on my primary box (I've since deleted the second box, due to no longer needing it)
Also...I just found this post by @DavidXanatos who states: "V2 (https://sandboxie-plus.com/sandboxie/delete-v2/) is a new method, it has no security advantages or disadvantages, but it makes host folder and key renaming work from within the sandbox properly, as well as fixes various minor inconsistencies the V1 implementation causes in certain edge cases, overall delete V2 provides a better compatibility." Now I'm wondering if my default box should have defaulted to the "Version 2" at first install but didn't? If this is the normal behavior, should I consider changing it to "Version 2" from the current "Version 1" setting?
Well the idea was to keep the default box behave like always including its flaws. Although since deleteV2 seams to work very well now i should make the default box use delete v2 in one of the next builds
Thanks for the info and personal reply. If V2 is gonna become the standard, then I'll set it to that (since it seems like it's the best option, and I have had no issues using it now). Thanks!
