Audigy2 ZS with Sennheiser HD 280 Pro. Haven't found a speaker setup that I like at the right price yet.

Philips Seismic Edge (psc705) - The sound blew me away after switching from my old Turtle Beach card :) It makes 128 bit MP3s indistinguishable from CDs. I'm using an old stereo for the front speakers and old labtec speakers for the rear.

I always tell everyone I know to just go to a thrift store and pick up an old stereo.. for ~$20 you can usually get something that will sound better than most computer speakers that cost $100+.

SoundStorm has excellent EAX effects I hear :)

You have the edge in DVDs - thats probably the only place where SoundStorm does matter with its Dolby Encoder :)

Right now I'm using my girlfriend's old stereo, which is an old JVC with a silver face that doesn't even have a button for CD, lol. On it's own it sounds a little flat, but with the rear speakers (Labtec speakers w/ pseudo surround that I paid like $50-60 for when they were new in '98 ) it rivals most computer speaker sets that cost $100-200. The Goodwill about 5 miles away from here gets some pretty decent stereos in periodically.. I'll probably look for something that has decent hi-fi (like an old Sony, which I usually see there).. can't have anything TOO nice or the next door neighbor will come pounding on the window  That's why I will probably be looking for some decent bookshelf speakers.

I have two PCs. both have Yamaha cards, since I am into audio rather than gaming, they are 2 channel cards, one a pro card namely SWXG-1000, other a semi pro DSXG-192, the pro card is connected to a Yamaha integrated amp AX-396 which in turn feeds Yamaha studio pro monitors NS-10M with a YST SW100 sub.
