Whether you're a serious or just a casual photbug, let's hear about your favorite editor/organizer, explaining why you chose it.

My favorite is Zoner Photo Suite Pro. I use it for both image management/organization and image editing. To me Zoner has a better GUI than Adobe Photoshop Elements and unlike Elements it integrates the organizer with the editor.

Other than what Windows provides by default, FastStone Image Viewer.

I use it for viewing images, and sometimes conversion/editing. I like how it's fullscreen and saves JPEG's in their original quality.

Photo Filtre free as an editor, Windows Explorer as a viewer/organizer (much better on Win7 than XP).

I like Google's Picasa, you can use it to organise, edit and share your photos.

I tend to use photoshop for editing but I suggest the good alternatives of GIMP and paint.net for family and friends who don't have or want to spend.

IrfanView if I just have to resize, or a simple edit. Photo Filtre 7 for anything a bit more involved. I don't use/need an organizer.

    I'll second that!

I use ACDSee Pro (currently v6.1) because of its user-interface which facilitates proper workflow and the organizer-editor presentation. :thumb:

Same here. User friendly, fast viewer/quick editor/conversion! Used Zoner once but I always ended up using FastStone again. I pair it with FastStone Capture!

I used to use FastStone Viewer, but I'm afraid it's no longer being developed (this app saw updates every month or two up until 1.5 years ago; none since)!

I am using Lightroom for organizing and most editing. I also use Photoshop Elements 10 for the rare edit that Lightroom cannot handle.

    Re: WHERE THIS POLLo_O

I use FastStone Image Viewer for most stuff. I normally don't do deep editing and organization is really not high on my list. (I do think it's still developed but I think the developer only does it as a hobby, not as a major time consuming project. Thus the more infrequent updates...)

I've been a Picasa user for years but found I needed more than Picasa's relatively limited editing capabilities. As a result of my Beyond Picasa thread, I have now installed and am learning to use ACDSee Pro. I've only been using it for a few days, but so far I like it a lot as it has the features most important to me:
    1. Integrated organizer and editor.
    2. User-friendly interface facilitating good workflow technique.
    3. Editing capabilities way beyond Picasa.
