Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery 4.1

It is very good but expensive. I have used it before. It were able to scan and find my partition that has been deleted followed by two rounds of re-formating and re-organization of my harddisk. Holiday price of US$69

    Active@Undelete 7.3

I recommended to my friend some time before and it helped him to recover the files he needed. US$54.95, and includes a bootable CD.

    R-Studio

Haven't used it before, but I remember some computer forums highly recommend it.

No matter which one you will be using, there is no guarantee that the file recovered can be opened and readable. There is a chance that the recovered file is corrupt and cannot be opened. Usually, data recovery don't mention this point.

I used to use GetDataBack to bring back files that weren't supposed to be deleted after a format. But these days when I need to format, I use some mega-wipe tool, like Jetico BCWipe Total WipeOut, and it makes impossible to recover anything.

And Recuva wouldn't help me if I deleted something on my drive, because usually I use the most secure deletion options of Ccleaner. So, I prefer relying on backups of everything with Windows Backup.

But for your needs, I think that the commercial GetDataBack may still be a nice option (unless you did some sort of secure deletion with another software on the deleted files disk space): http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

Easeus got my video files from RAW disk but it didn't get their video specialities, there were 300 MB files but none of them was video files, i think GetDataBack is good.

It depends how long since the files were deleted or how much work was done
on the machine since they were deleted, the less the better.

Here is a very good Freeware (No install),
