    Outpost is good for me.
Doesnt bog my system down like zone alarm did.
Sygate and Kerio are also worth looking at.
Although there are still one or two bugs with Kerio 4.1

I didn't see more lighter than Look'n'Stop, but i didn't try all firewalls of the world too :)

Outpost is pretty easy on resources especially if you turn off any of the plugins that you don't need. The only way it might slow your system down is if the logs get out of control. The can endlessly grow if you don't manually clean each log catagory (Suspicious Packets log, Last 10 sites blocked, etc.). I heard that this is fixed in the latest beta version though.

Ditto the enthusiasm for Outpost, but the logging issue (which may be resolved in the latest version) prevents me from recommending it as light on resources. I do employ a simple shutdown script provided on the Outpost forum to automaticlly trim the log, so I've had no problems.

I should also mention Kerio 2x is very light and effective for a basic stateful personal firewall, and it's free. Kerio version 4 is not going to be any lighter than ZA. It's been a while since I tried it, but I think Visnetic was pretty light too.
    Hope that helps.

I recon Look n stop also . Its a hassle as most firewalls do seem to drag ones system along . Of course not having one at all and closing all your ports is the lightest way to travel, but the scariest for most . If one wants the add blocking and cookie control etc, i think, Outpost is definitely the lightest .

    outpost is my choice
if u rename the file opdata.dll to something else all logging is disabled and it hardly uses any resources at all, and its still running smoothly
