Going back through some slack based distros
( they are very cool and fast and lean with Xfce)

I'm missing something :( : I hope not, and am hope for nothing bad

    http://wolvix.org/ = 404

    ANy info? Just me ?

BTW anyone else noticed how '404' is entering the lingua franca more and more as in , "a 404 moment", "this is a 404"
    Love it: geeks rule..

Still down. Can't access the forum either. I remember reading that wolvix was going to merge with another distro, although it would still be offered as a separate OS. Maybe it is just an end of the year adjustment. I did find a working alternate download mirror at:

It's sitting in my 'repo' waiting for a try. ;)
Loving ZenWalk 4.8; some issues with mplayer to be sorted but rocketship fast.
Pkg management well documented in manual and worked well for me so far.
XFCE and slack seems to be a good lean combo.
    Good forum support.
    Had good experience with VectorSOHO
    Had difficult times with Goblin
Have not tried the real thing Slackware: somewhat intimidating :doubt:
    Useful + + + : http://www.dedoimedo.com/computer_software.html

I had good experience with wolvix previously
    :doubt: wait and see.
There was some collaboration going on with Ultima Linux in the past, but I cant see any info re current state of Wolvix :(

I'm still familiarising my self with the various flavours in VMWare and VBox
( I aint an expert by any means ) and often have issues with setting up the VMtools and Vbox additions.
Still getting to grips with Samba and file set-ups and management.

    There's some good how tos:
    http://www.howtoforge.com/
    http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?showtopic=19776
    - and a useful Linux forum there

plus all the other Linux goodness floating about
    regards
