Weird, because when you go to that link on the German site which MuffPotter gives below, & login, instead of finding the advertised build 8078, you still get offered the same old build 8053 from 19 September last. What & where is this "build 8078 from 11 March" -- advertised on the Acronis site but somehow not available?

Acronis has different license numbers for different languages so if you have an English version license you will be offered the English versions, not other languages.

    Hi domg,

i DO get 8078 on that link - so I can't confirm your statement. :thumb:
The bad news is: it does not solve pending problems... :thumbd:

So 8078 is prob just 8053 under a different name (German version).

    Yeah -- bad news!

    Hi all,

may be in terms of build number the german version is actually further developed as the international release. But I can assure you that it isn't any better concerning all recently discussed weaknesses and bugs... o_O

I'm starting to doubt it is ever going to be a new english build.
So far the germans are at least a couple of releases ahead of us it seems.

It is somewhat annoying as I've been waiting for a fix for several months, and I guess the germans already has it.

Why can't they use .1 or 0.1 versions instead of builds?
What's so difficult about keeping the actual software versioning consistent across different languages?
    TI has to be special?

    Don't worry haerdalis,

as said earlier, the higher build number of the german version does not fix any of the issues being discussed here... :thumbd:

One could hope my issue is fixed in those builds, but I'll never know. :/

My issue was reported not long after 8053 was released, and is with the tasks quit working after a restore of the system drive.
After restore TI can't run or edit tasks because it can't find the paths (TI tasks use the diskid), so all tasks must be manually deleted, then recreated (edit just gives an error dialog).

This is a sideeffect of TI changing the diskid when restoring to avoid disks changing driveletters.

A search on these forums should give more detail.
