Until a few days ago there was (a quite big) thread concerning the configuration of Sandboxie.

I cannot find any longer the thread; and the postings I made in this thread also disappeared from the list with all my posts.

Very strange. o_O Please could someone explain what has happened with this thread?

According to what is mentioned here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=269484

the thread should be found under this link:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=240008

But when I click on it appears the message that I do not have permission to access this page! o_O

It was in the process of being moved into one of the two new forum sections created today...

It that threads case, it was moved into the "sandboxing & virtualization" forum.

The other forum section added today was: "backup, imaging & disk mgmt". Many threads have been moved there, too.

Nice! Is that why the site has been slow to load at times?

No, our hosting company has been taking network circuit hits periodically for the last few hours. Effectively disconnecting users coming in via one of their circuit paths.

Thank you for the clarification. :) So I simply searched for the thread exactly in the "wrong" moment. ;)
    All works fine again now.

Just so there is no confusion here... That section is general "sandboxing and virtualization" forum, not a SandboxIE forum. I don't want anyone to mistake it for the SandboxIE product support forum.

Major respect to you LowWaterMark. What you've done the past 2 days (listening to the members and acting) is very refreshing here :thumb:

One last request - could you find and hide Ronjor's "scissors and delete button" please :p

We are still not interested in having an off-topic forum section. Same reasons as mentioned in the previous thread.

We are very aware of this sites untapped potential. In fact, with our search index ranking, we could easily make this place many times its current level of activity by some simple changes to the rules and adding a few topic areas. An off-topic forum, a shoutbox, a chat facility, member blog pages, a political discussion forum, a "good deals" and "swap meet" type section, plus loosening up a few of our more unique rules... this place would take off like crazy. However, unlike a lot of sites, we're not trying to become the biggest forum around. We're quite content with our current size and activity level.
