I've installed Acronis Disk Director 10 (build 2160) on a newly installed drive. When I try to create a new partition, I go through the whole process using the wizard (as I have in the past with no problems), then I commit, Reboot. After I reboot, I do not have a new partition??

I've tried several times and even re-installed and re-downloaded the app from the site. I did succesfully Increase free space on my primary partition.

    I'm using Windows XP SP2.

    appreciate any help

Try booting from the DD cd and creating the partition.

thank you very much. That worked. However, any ideas why the product isn't working the way it should?

    many thanks

P.S Interesting thing happened tho, It removed my copy of Deepfreeze and also caused an error on my integrated NIC card.

I'll bet that DeepFreeze was doing its job to prevent any changes to the partition table and MBR.

Well, I had the drive thawed, but like you, I suspected the same thing, so I uninstalled it. No luck tho. Still woiuldn't retain the changes I make. Also, I never had any problems before, until I installed a new drive and re-installed DD.
Will the license only allow you to use it on one drive? Maybe that's the problem? BTW- Same PC.

There is not problem about installing DD on a new drive as far as the license is concerned. It's still the same computer.

The partition creation operation did work correctly when booted from the DD cd, though, right? Did you use the Full mode of DD or the Safe mode?
