Using TDS-3 last night I deleted the following:

    TrojanDownloader.Win32.Stubby
    Adware.DBi.BHO(dll)
    and one other Adware.Dbi file.

When I right clicked on them and got info it referenced a url named - w.w.abetterinternet.com.
How does this relate to the files I deleted?

    Thanks

    Edited link - Pieter

    Hi Chas,

    From: http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Transponder.html

The last line at that page:
"aBetterInternet (owned by Direct-Revenue) are newly set up companies for the same people spreading the same software."

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Thanks! Pieter,

How can I find out what this particular Trojan (or whatever) was tracking on my PC?

I ask because just before finding it and deleting it, I had made a Credit Card transaction online. Kinda worried!!!

If stubby and the Adware files was all that was found, I would not worry about that.
aBetterInternet is in the bussiness of "pushing commercial content", not spying or stealing.
I'd be happy to check your log if you would follow the instructions posted here:

    Pieter,

I posted my log last night. Did not have time to reply before going to bed.

Please check it out if you get a chance.

One person asked for what the error message said that I was getting. Iwill get that information after work today, and anything else you or someone else needs to help me.

    Thanks again for your time!

    Chas

OK. I found your log. I already looked at it earlier. I just didn't make the connection to this thread.

Can you remember the name of the trojan TDS removed?
Becasue that may well have been something that compromised your security.
It was brought to my attention that stubby also acts as a dropper for password-stealers.

    Regards,

    Pieter
