judging by the amount of views to this thread it looks like no one is interested o_O just incase you dont know what RSS feeds are, they greatly improve using the internet, IMHO. if a site you like supports the feeds, you can see the contents of the site from your browser, instead of having to navigate the site. firefox had an inbuilt RSS reader, but if you dont have Firefox, or would rather use a spiecally built program, i like Abilon i havent used it for awhile, but about 6 months ago i tried around 6-7 different readers, and Abilon was my favourite

i just found this site, which has alot of feeds to pick. however, it doesnt give the links to the sites and the feeds are syndicated through them, is that safe to do? here are some of the links on their site...

    http://www.syndic8.com/feedlist.php

i think i may choose the sites i want to use from there, but instead of using there feeds, go to the site i want and subscribe from there. does anyone know the site syndic8? thanks. :)

thanks, GF and Ron :) . but im starting to think that no one uses them. my FF came with the reader enabled, i think. in-any-case i can click on the orange buttons and get the links in my bookmarks, i'll take alook at the link Ron, thanks. but how about any good sites to subscribe to? here's a screenshot of the feeds i have so far... also, can anyone say if the syndic8 feeds i have are safe to use? they arent feeds for syndic8, but feeds to other sites linked through syndic8. thanks :)

P.S. if anyone reads this and they havent tried RSS feeds, give them a try, unless anyone says they're not safe. :)

EDIT im going to try and upload the picture of the feeds i have. it wont upload, but i think it's because i tried to cancel my post as i submitted it, so it's in a kind of limbo. im going to try and put it in with <img> tags.

I was using the extension for awhile. Since I already use live bookmarks, I felt like it was overkill. Even those make me nervous. :D

RSS is handy. Find the best one ice and let us know.

i really did try alot afew months back and my favouite was Abilon the only problem with it was that it came with alot of preinstall feeds (not a big problem), so whan you load it (each time it gets a new story it chimes, but that can be turned off) it chimed for about 5 minutes. also you can uninstall the pre-set feeds in it. other good ones are SharpReader, KlipFolio and i think XanaNews was good too.

anyway, if you use system restore or totall uninstall i'd definatey give Abilon a try :)

i had trouble uploading my picture in the post before. im going to try and upload it with IE now. it wont upload i'll go and reboot then try again.

another go at uploading the image
