What password? Your Windows 7 product key, or a serial for a specific program?

The serial of a licensed software installed. I'm a backup maniac, but I believe to have saved the password of a previous version of this software, now invalid for this one.:cautious:

It depends on a software that you are using. There is no universal location where licence information for all software is stored.

You should keep your licenses and passwords on a excel sheet. And put it on a thumb drive. Makes it handy to get to.

@blacknight I suggest you take a look at Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder and Recover Keys.
Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is free and finds the product keys for over 300 programs. Recover Keys finds the product keys for over 6,500 programs (including TrueImage). It's not free, but the trial version will scan your system and show you what software it found product keys for.
