When the (non beta) release of 4.0 comes out will...........

it just be an update or will you have to download a whole new program?

Since ewido only updates the signatures and not the program components,
I suppose you'll have to download the program again.
Or maybe that updater will be included in a later version.

Only ewido team can tell us how it will work on release,
but still a lot of testing to perform before we get there.

 

The updater will update program components as well but we don't upload the new binaries after every compilation. (that would be to often )

But I can't tell what will be finally with the release. It will take some time until release. Just wait until the time and you will get an answer then

Are there any changes as regards the emulation? It seems to me that the emulation has been improved since 3.0 (i.e., it can recognize certain anti-emulation tactics)? Am I correct? What about additional packer/crypter support? Does the mem scanner still scan a file only once upon execution?

If possible, please tell us a little bit about the technical development/improvements of Ewido and not only about the GUI changes. I hope all this stuff is not top secret.
