I sure hope we don't have to wait for them to fix all the bugs people are finding before we get our 64 bit beta. That could take months.

Yes, we really need a NATIVE x64 version please.
Hopefully a native x64, not hybrid, solution is in development, thus explaining the lack of any x64 support in the current Beta.

Yes, but there is no way to know if a Eset x64 (or NOD64) is in work :(

We know it, I use NOD32 in my Vista x64 now. It was one of the first antivirus 64bit compatible. NOD32 is a 32bit software with 64bit compatibility but not 64bit native. In 2006, I asked to ESET and they answered me they will be maybe a 64bit native one day but they don't know when.

I know what you mean because I also need it for Vista x64! But as you know that the Drivers have to be Digitally Signed by M$ and when the Beta is complete I think that is when it will be available x64 Vista! ;) We will see what Eset has to say! :)

Yes, the best security solution for a 64 bit OS can only come from a full native 64 bit program, anything else (64 bit compatible) is less than the best.

Yes, a native 64 bit NOD would blow me away. But nevertheless, I hope they have a 64 bit version out soon.

It wouldn't be wise to drop support for 32-bit systems and support 64-bit only. Remember that the scanning core is written in assembler so porting it completely to 64-bit would be a problem, especially if backwards compatibility had to be ensured.

I reinstalled my 32 bit XP on dual boot just so I could test the beta. I really like it and I'm anxious to test it under normal conditions. I'd rather not set up everything on this test system that I have on my 64 bit XP. That would be way too much work just for a test.
