:) When ready and good enough for the public . When good enough to bypass ESET's excellence standarts :thumb:

Except from the still not included feautures , do you have any specific problems with ESS beta1(b) ?

One big problem, it is not 64bit OS compatible!

    x86*

But seriously the lack of 64-bit support is disappointing. I'd expected better. Especially when they said:

    Two months isn't short ESET...

OS are available in 64bit, CPU too, drivers are available too, why to stay in the old technology? I'm for the evolution and ready for the 64bit since XP 64bit.

    :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

There's no point in telling people to go back to 32 bit, this is stunting progress. I.T. professionals all agree that we should all be moving onto 64 bit. Windows Server 2008 onwards are going to be exclusively 64 bit so client OS's should be going the same way.

Am I alone in this by thinking that everybody is making a mountain out of a molehill about this x64 support? I find x64 currently overrated. When ESET are ready with version with x64 support, they will release it. It's always like this:
    - when a certain release is delayed, there is "where is the release" or "come on, we're tired of waiting", etc.
    - when the release is finally out, there is "a lot of bugs, the new beta is too buggy" or "this version sucks because <insert a reason>", etc.;

There just isn't pleasing some people. :)

Nope, I'm sure the other x86 users who aren't affected by this issue will agree with you. Why would you care if the product doesn't work for us, it works fine for you.

When you upgrade to 4GB of ram and your x86 O/S only displays ~2.75GB of it, don't come crying to us. In case you didn't notice, we could care less about what you think (since you are obviously ignorant to begin with). At the end of the day there's a group of people who are in a x64 environment without ESS support. That's the problem at hand.

Oh how original. I agree, it would be one thing if we were whining (or making a big deal) about insignificant bugs, but the fact that you are attempting to mock us for being upset about a product that doesn't even install is ridiculous. Please don't comment on issues that don't affect you, since you'll just end up making a fool out of yourself (even more than you already have).

Same here. My XBox 360 can't detect my PC with ESS Beta 1b. I'm hoping Beta 2 fixes this.

Just sit down in your chair, relax and put a My Fair Lady DVD disc in your home cinema. Start the movie and wait 'till Eliza Doolittle starts to sing a song for professor Higgins

Just you wait Henry Higgins, just you wait!
You'll be sorry, but your tears'll be too late!
You'll be broke and I'll have money.
Will I help you? Don't be funny.

Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait!...
Then they'll march you, Henry Higgins to the wall
And the King will tell me: 'Liza, sound the call.'
As they raise their rifles higher, I'll shout 'Ready! Aim! Fire!'
Oh-ho-ho, Henry Higgins, Down you'll go, Henry Higgins.
    Just you wait!

I'have always used NOD32 because it is light and unfailing against threats. (Light and unfailing: what else?).
Ess works very fine for me. Just some problems with the GUI when i use SCAN ON DEMAND with SHOW LOG FILE on.
I'm waiting for beta 2 because i feel penalized when i can't use some feature as:
    -file scanner from Winrar Toolbar.
    -Scan from context menu.
I have another a question about the possibility of put in background a scan
on demand and make another one in the same time. I don't tried this feature because it seems to be very heavy for my processor ( 'AMD ATHLON XP 2800' 2080 GHZ)

Yep, same here(Directv). I've had to uninstall ESS, because of this, since the Directv media share has become a household favorite.

I'm waiting paitiently(although becoming impatient) for beta 2.

XP x64 just works better than XP x86. I'll never go back.
