It is my wife's and my dream to move there when we retire (keeping fingers crossed that we can afford to).

Don't know why exactly, but my favorite food is so difficult to actually get at, when I get to eat it, and especially a lot of it, I always declare it's my favorite food in the whole world.

Probably because it is available only in Florida or very near there, (so until I moved here I couldn't get it but on rare visits, as it won't keep more than a day uncooked and then goes funky in a day after cooking- and freezing ruins it, so it's awful if shipped anywhere); it has to be in season even if you do visit FL; it must be prepared JUST RIGHT; it's a total pain in the neck to eat- real physical labor involved; and is obscenely expensive per pound---

after all that, once it is in your mouth maybe you savor it with especial glee.

Some of you surely know about the luscious delight of

    STONE CRAB!

Not necessarily my all-time favorites, but last Saturday night I had pork ribs (crock pot), potatoes au gratin & steamed asparagus. Pretty doggone good.... :p ;)

:p Tonight's cuisine was Bar-B-Q pork tenderloin with a baked potato (the works of course), baby peas and sour dough bread. Plus the wildman always has a beer (bier) with his evening meal. yum yum .

    Thanks

 Tonights meal was a simple one. Hamburger (cheese covered) and Rice-A-Roni, plus the once a day beer (bier). Can't eat fancy all the time, or so the spouse tells me. Hey she is the cook, and one does not want to upset the cook, remember the wildman likes to eat.

P.S. What in heaven's name is a prarie oyster, I thought I knew a lot about food, but have never heard of this one.

    Thanks

Sounds good! I'm having a problem however. You come in here with these menus causing me to rush off to the kitchen and see if there is anything to munch on. This can't be good. :D

Ronjor: Rush is the same as running isn't it? We all know that running is good for you. Celery and carrots are munchies, and we all know those are good for you. Could it be you are telling us you are one of those health guys?

    Thanks

;) Thanks BigC, knew about them Rocky Mountain oysters, not to bad either, but didn't know that they were the same as prairie oysters. Hey his living in the land of OZ, they could have been your sheep's.

    Thanks
