I thought a poll on what home page people use would be interesting. I only listed the three that I have used. I'm sure there are others.

I used Word to create a web page that contained links to my most frequented websites. That is my homepage.

Looks like Google and blank are the front runners. A little surprising. To me anyway. :)

Mine are set to the best page on the web - about:blank. It loads the fastest and there are never any adverts. :)

Like SpikeyB, I've created a custom home page with the search functions I use on a regular basis. Since it's stored on the HD it loads instantly as the browser (Opera) starts.

    Alt + Home
    Ctrl + Space Bar

    ------------

Ctrl + F12 to set Home page
Ctrl + B for a list of all shortcut keys

    ---

My home page is a file on my own computer. I built it with an HTML editor. Any browser will readily load an HTML file directly from your computer. For example, if your home page was named "home.html" & filed in a folder named "mystuff" on hard drive C, then you would enter the following into your browser as your home page...

    file://localhost/c:/mystuff/home.html

My home page consists of hundreds of hyperlinks to all my favorite sites. Even so, it loads in the twinkling of an eye. The links are in clearly delineated groups such as "Forums," "News," etc. Using HTML it's simple to make these groupings visually stand out so that the link you want to go to at any given moment is very easy to spot.

Once I load & begin surfing, my home page always occupies the left-most tab of my browser which is, of course, K-meleon. Using favorite links as my home page is waaaay easier & faster than any other method I've tried.

    Very very handy.

    I use www.netvibes.com

Just another one of those trendy "Web 2.0" ajax portals.
