For several days the update shows the same old dates starting with 10/26.05.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Yes

They are getting rid of the false positive flags.;)

As of now, I see that it still needs some more work.:(

Yep, hardhead, you're right......for example, is it still flagging the cookie for classmates.com? :p

One of A-Squared's negatives is that you can't select "IGNORE" for scan results/specifics FPs. So it just keeps flagging, and flagging them, with each subsequent scan until the FP is eventually corrected.....

Give A Squared a break. While this software is way below average as it is right now, those guys are really trying to catch up. One should applaud them for doing so. Pretty sure A2 will become a decent and trustworthy software, give and take a year or so.

I think A-Squared is improving coz it can find and detects spywares that was not detected by my other antispywares and anti-trojans...that was after I updated it a few days ago. It updates long during that updates, and after I re-started my pc it added a scans on registry and memory monitor on which it immediately found "something" on the registry. ;)

I felt that this program is becoming more better as days pass by. Remember this was made in Europe.. just like Ewido. :D

LOL....I don't think hardhead or I said anything even near as critical as you just did! Perhaps you should heed your own words and "give A-Squared a break"....it's not THAT bad! ;)

What Panther did is oft called "Damned by faint praise." In the words of Ogden Nash, "When called by a panther, don't anther.":p

In my years of using A2 Squared i've found it does a very admirable task and that the development team over there do a very fair job even on the free version IMO.
Come to think of it i don't recall making any complaints over it or suffering any serious false positives.

the only "false-positives" that i get with A2 are two regkey "traces", the same two that i also get with pestpatrol..

with spywaredoctor, i get three similar regkey "traces", but not the same two as with a2 and pestpatrol..

i used to get different ones with trendmicro's antispyware program, but it no longer flags them, though it does have another "false-positive" where it flags a file on my pc..

the "false-positive" regkey "traces" that i get are from having IESPYAD installed..

I only have one false positive to report now and the others were fixed.

    Great product.:thumb:
